A recent survey dropped some eyebrow-raising numbers: 41% of younger voters are actually open to letting AI handle government decisions. That's not a typo—almost half of the demographic that's supposed to inherit tomorrow's world thinks algorithms could do the job.

Whether you see this as faith in tech or distrust in current systems, it's a data point worth chewing on. The overlap with decentralized governance debates in Web3 isn't hard to spot either. If people trust code over traditional power structures, we might be watching the early signs of a bigger shift in how decisions get made—on-chain or off.

41% this number is really outrageous. Are young people starting to trust machines? Forget it, at least it's more reliable than trusting those old guys. The decentralized logic of Web3 does have some merit. The real problem is that someone still has to write the code. Who guarantees that the algorithm won't be manipulated? Instead of asking if AI is feasible, it's better to ask how many more years the existing system can last.

41% is quite a lot. Does ruling the country with algorithms get half the votes from young people? Compared to old politicians fighting, code really won't go back on promises lol

41%? This data is pretty shocking... Algorithmic governance? Why do I feel like these young people are truly exhausted? Can smart contracts really govern a country? Maybe we should first ask how Ethereum's gas fees are doing. Trusting machines over humans is one thing, but trusting code over machines? I really need to think through this logic. The traditional power structure is rotten to the core, and now even AI is being seen as a savior? That's truly absurd. Isn't this just the precursor to decentralized governance? On-chain decision-making isn't far off now. Young people are so desperate they're putting their faith in algorithms—just how little trust do they have in the current system?

That 41% figure is laughable. It's less about trust in AI and more about despair with the current system.

Ah, is that really 41%... Algorithmic governance? I think this just means young people have completely given up on the current system. --- I'd rather trust code than politicians, that's what I like to hear. On-chain governance is the trend, bro. --- It still depends on how you interpret it, maybe young people are just fed up with the traditional stuff. --- Code won't betray you, politicians betray you every day... that's really all there is to it. --- Is this the prototype for Web3 governance? But I suspect most people haven't really thought it through. --- lol how did they get 41%, there must be something wrong with the sampling. --- Trusting AI is better than trusting those old white men, at least it doesn't have selfish motives. --- --- Wait, really 41%? That means the vast majority still don't trust it, don't over-interpret.
