Do you remember the Russian crypto Ponzi scheme Finiko that deceived countless people? Recently, someone is finally going to pay for it.

One of the founders of this scheme was arrested in the UAE and has now been sent back to Russia. The charges against him are serious—organizing and leading a criminal group, massive-scale fraud, with the extradition process completed at Dubai Airport.

Finiko was quite prominent back then, operating from 2018 to 2021, promoting high returns and recruiting people everywhere. Basically, it was a typical crypto pyramid scheme—no real investments were made after collecting the money, just a game of passing money around. Over 7,700 people were involved in the scam, with an astonishing scale.

This kind of Ponzi scheme is actually quite old-fashioned, but people still fall for it every time. Now, one of the founders is finally facing legal consequences, giving some closure to the victims. However, how much of the money can be recovered remains another matter.

Finally caught this rat, but with 7,700 victims, I guess they won't recover their funds. That's the most frustrating part.

Finally caught. Let's see if the victims can recover anything this time. Anyway, it's most likely a futile effort.

It should have been caught earlier. These kinds of scammers should be jailed for a few years. But honestly, I guess the victims won't get back a single cent of their money.

Finally caught you. Serves you right. How many people have been harmed by this Ponzi scheme? Over 7,700 people have lost everything, and it's easy to say.

Finally, someone is going to pay back the debt, but most of the money from over 7,700 victims won't be recovered. That's the most heartbreaking part.

Finally caught, someone should have taken the blame for the Finiko scam long ago.

Someone is finally going to pay off their debt, but how much the people who got chopped can get back is another story.

Finiko, everyone knows how deeply this scam has gouged them, and finally someone has paid the price. Recover funds? Don't get your hopes up; being able to get back ten percent would be a blessing. Such scams happen every year, yet people still keep rushing in one after another.
