I recently conducted an interesting test on AI's capabilities in building cryptocurrency exchanges.

The scenario setup was straightforward: have AI simultaneously play the roles of CSO and CTO, designing a complete exchange from scratch. This isn't just a simple word game—it's a complex task involving substantial workload.

The specific tasks covered several dimensions: starting with user research and business model analysis in emerging markets like Nigeria, then designing the product architecture based on market demand. On the technical side, it was more hardcore, requiring the development of core code for a Rust matching engine, which directly impacts the exchange's performance ceiling. Additionally, considerations included API design, risk control mechanisms, wallet integration, and an entire system set.

The entire process took about 2 hours, culminating in a design document that included a complete MVP framework. Although it wasn't professionally audited, from the perspective of technical completeness and practicality, it demonstrated the feasibility of current AI in complex engineering projects.

What’s particularly interesting about this experiment is that it proved AI can handle coordination tasks at a fairly high level of expertise, from market analysis on the business side to code implementation on the technical side, with a coherent logical chain. For Web3 entrepreneurs, this could change some perceptions about development cycles and resource allocation. Of course, final implementation still requires human review and optimization, but as a starting point for validating technical solutions, the efficiency is definitely worth noting.

Designing a complete exchange in two hours? Sounds pretty impressive haha Is AI code writing reliable? Can the Rust engine really be used? Honestly, this thing still needs manual editing in the end, feels a bit exaggerated I'm a bit skeptical about the quality since the Nigeria market analysis was completed so quickly Want to see what level the generated code actually is... This efficiency is indeed incredible, but auditing is the real focus, right? AI is getting more capable, but I still don't fully trust it

Can you design a complete exchange in two hours? Come on, can it pass the audit? Can AI really write Rust? Why do I find it hard to believe? Wow, this efficiency—our team is really about to lose their jobs. The document generation looks good; only when it goes live and runs smoothly is it truly impressive. Nigeria market research AI is also being developed—then what is the PM for, haha? Can the risk control mechanism be done in two hours? So what happened to the projects that suffered losses before? This is why I believe in AI startups—long live my great AGI! Code that runs doesn't mean it's usable, brother; the audit is the real parent.

Finish the exchange framework in two hours? If this can truly be implemented and run, it feels like the entire financing logic would need to be rewritten.

I'll just say it, building an exchange architecture in two hours? Sounds great, but when you actually get on the battlefield, you'll realize what a blood loss it is. We were just as optimistic back then, but what happened? As soon as we went live, the risk control wasn't properly tuned, and we got exploited for quick gains, with withdrawal limits instantly slashed. AI can write code, no doubt, but it will never help you avoid those deadly pitfalls.

A 2-hour exchange architecture? Forget it, that's the highest form of illusion.

Is this thing for real? Can it produce a complete exchange design in just 2 hours? I feel like I still have to manually edit it seven or eight times before I can use it.

Damn, a complete exchange architecture in two hours? The efficiency is really impressive, but I still want to see how the Rust engine code quality turns out...
