【Crypto World】Aave ecosystem has new developments. On December 17th, BGD Labs co-founder Ernesto Boado proposed a plan for “AAVE token alignment,” with an interesting core message — allowing AAVE token holders to gain control over Aave’s brand assets.
In simple terms: domain names, social media accounts, various naming rights, and other brand assets should be governed by the DAO. These assets are no longer monopolized by any single party but managed by an entity controlled by the DAO. Sounds a bit complicated? The core logic is actually decentralization — enabling community members to have real decision-making power over brand assets.
Interestingly, the proposal also emphasizes anti-hijacking protections. That is, even if the current asset managers are highly capable, they must operate within rules and boundaries. Whoever manages these assets must bear responsibility both in principle and in practice. This constraint mechanism ensures that no one can arbitrarily change the ownership of brand assets.
This proposal reflects the growing trend of DeFi projects placing increasing importance on DAO governance. From asset control to brand rights, community influence continues to expand.

This is true decentralization; finally, someone is taking real action.

Starting to use that DAO rhetoric again. Can it really be executed properly? In the end, it's still just a few big players calling the shots.

Now it's truly decentralized. Brand assets are handed over to the DAO to speak, and domain names and social media are no longer private property of any individual. Feels like Aave's move is quite clever.

Does the DAO call the shots? Now it's finally good, no longer being led around by some big players.
