Hyperliquid Whale Movements: ZEC Short Stop Loss Shift, ETH Short Earns 1.3 Billion

【Crypto Rhythm】The large trader on Hyperliquid known for short positions has recently taken new actions.

This trader’s ZEC short position, after turning from a loss to a profit, has begun actively reducing the size. Data from December 17 shows that his ZEC short position shrank from $16.5 million to $9.1 million, with an average entry price of $389. Interestingly, he did not close all positions but instead used part of the funds to short MON. Currently, this MON short position is about $9.2 million, with an unrealized profit of $4.62 million — a 150% return.

You have to understand how persistent this trader is. He started shorting ZEC as early as October 10, at an average price of $184. He kept adding to his position to average down, trying to turn the tide. But by October 17, his position was at its worst, with unrealized losses hitting $21 million, and the short position even surged to $43.2 million. So, this time, the ZEC stop-loss and switch to MON are, to some extent, a strategic adjustment.

But his real cash cow is ETH. Currently, his ETH short position is about $92.95 million, with an average price of $3,377, and unrealized profits have accumulated to $13.86 million, a 224% return. Including the gradually closed positions in STRK and ZEC, this account is now the largest short position on Hyperliquid across ETH, ZEC, and MON, with a total short scale reaching $113 million.

From being trapped at $21 million to now maintaining stable profits, this whale exemplifies what it means to say “as long as you’re alive, there’s hope.”

This guy is really playing with heartbeat, losing 21 million but still holding on. Now he's turning around and making a huge profit on MON, he's quite a tough person. I don't quite understand that ZEC trade, how did it turn around? Is it due to fundamental changes or just pure luck? A 150% return on MON is a bit outrageous. Can this token's liquidity support such large positions being closed? Shorting is really a test of patience after ten years of sharpening the sword, but you need to have a strong mindset. Did he switch to MON because he sensed some opportunity? It feels like this guy has something up his sleeve.

This whale is too fierce. ZEC was down 21 million but was forcibly brought back, showing exceptional mental resilience.

This whale is too ruthless, turning a floating loss of 21 million into a recovery? I don't have the mental resilience for that.

This whale's mental toughness is truly incredible. Losing 21 million and still not running, instead forcing a flat position to turn the game around. I can't learn this mindset.
