What are the structural advancements in the crypto industry in 2025? A review of a year of regulatory improvements, ETF expansion, and the rise of RWA

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】This year has been quite interesting for the crypto industry. On the surface, the price gains of crypto assets did not meet market expectations, but the underlying changes may be more important than the price trends.

The regulatory environment in the US is clearly warming—senior personnel changes at the SEC, the withdrawal of SAB 121, a longstanding issue, and several crypto-related lawsuits being withdrawn. Legislation on stablecoins is also progressing, which is crucial for the industry’s standardization. Infrastructure-wise, things are accelerating: well-known compliant platforms are being included in the S&P 500 index, new developments in spot ETFs for Solana and XRP, Robinhood starting to tokenize stocks… these seemingly scattered actions are actually pointing in the same direction.

RWA (Real-World Asset On-Chain) and prediction markets are also gaining momentum. The improvement of these institutional frameworks and infrastructure is paving the way for industry development into 2026 and beyond. In other words, 2025 may seem calm, but it’s actually laying the groundwork.

Amazing, the price hasn't gone up but the groundwork has been laid. This is truly the construction phase. --- Once SAB 121 is withdrawn, the clues become evident. Regulation is shifting from suppression to guidance, and the rhythm has completely changed. --- Legislation on ETF, RWA, and stablecoins is all progressing. It feels like the blockchain community is really moving closer to mainstream finance. --- Robinhood's move to tokenize stocks—who would have thought... The boundaries between traditional finance and the blockchain space are blurring. --- The logic of improving underlying infrastructure is correct; otherwise, just speculating on coins is pointless. --- What will 2026 look like? These changes are sufficiently laid out, and it feels like a wave of anticipation is building. --- Whether the price rises or not is another matter. The ecosystem's maturity is truly increasing, and that’s the real reason for long-term holding.

The regulatory warm wind is really blowing, but I'm more concerned about whether these changes can truly be implemented. The revocation of SAB 121 sounds great, but how many pitfalls are still ahead?

Regulatory improvements are real, but the prices still haven't risen much, which feels a bit awkward. RWA definitely has potential; it all depends on who can come out first. SAB 121 has finally been withdrawn. This has been dragging on for too long, and taking action now feels a bit late. With so many ETFs launched, it seems institutions have already been laying out their plans, while retail investors are still chasing the highs and lows. Robinhood's tokenized stocks—whether they can truly be implemented remains to be seen. Infrastructure improvements are good, but what about practical application scenarios? It's still hard to see clearly. Will 2026 be even more explosive or a big disappointment? No one can say for sure now. It feels like this year is just laying the tiles; the real house hasn't been built yet.

The warming of regulation is real, but I am more concerned about whether these policies can actually be implemented. Don't repeat the unpredictability like before. The RWA sector indeed has potential; it's just currently a mess. Whoever can get this done will win. The ETF expansion looks promising, but ultimately it depends on who can truly capture market share. Can Solana sustain this wave? The revocation of SAB 121 is indeed a milestone, but I wonder if the next government will change it again. Robinhood's move to tokenize stocks? Interesting, but what about the risks? Is there any regulation in this area? No matter how well you phrase it, it's all in vain. The key is where the money flows. Without changing the fundamentals, it's all just virtual. Looking only at infrastructure improvements, prices haven't risen yet. Is this the bottoming out or missing the boat? It's really hard to say.

Well... to put it simply, the policies have improved, infrastructure has caught up, and the price is no longer that important, right? RWA does have some substance, but it still depends on how it actually gets implemented later; don't let it become just empty talk. I won't believe it until the regulations are truly relaxed; maybe they'll change their stance again next year.
