The Bitcoin "Death Cross" has arrived, but this time it's different

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】Bitcoin’s 50-day moving average recently fell below the 200-day moving average—that’s the so-called “death cross.” Many investors become nervous when they see this signal. But is this signal really that scary?

Interestingly, this technical indicator actually reacts with some lag. Looking at longer timeframes, based on historical data since 2011, after a death cross appears, the median return over 6 months is +30%, and over 12 months, the median return can reach +89%. Doesn’t sound like a disaster signal, does it?

The current situation is even more intriguing—Bitcoin has already fallen more than 30%. From a chart perspective, it looks more like the bottoms seen in previous cycles, rather than the start of a new sharp decline. Moreover, since the ETF launched, the market structure has also changed. So rather than being scared by this signal, it’s better to see it as a historical reference point.

The death cross is back. Is this really different this time? Historical data suggests it's a good opportunity, so why am I still panicking so much?

Death cross is just a death cross, it's happened like this throughout history, why panic?

The thing about the death cross, it depends on the data. The median historical return being positive is indeed noteworthy, but the issue lies in the sample size and the definition standards of the time period—these are details that are often overlooked by most people.

Death cross? Haha, every time it's called, and what happens... The historical data is right here, let's just wait and see.

Death cross is happening again? This time it's really different from before; historical returns are all positive, so why are people still crying?

The death cross is back, but I still say—the history will repeat itself, not copy and paste. Is this time really different? It depends on the subsequent trend.

Death cross is back again. Is this really the bottom this time? I personally don't believe it; too many people are cutting losses.
