【ChainNews】The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has taken another major step. After the term ends, Acting Chair Caroline Pham officially announced her joining of the crypto finance company MoonPay as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.
Behind this personnel change, Pham has repeatedly stated that she would resign once a new CFTC Chair is confirmed. Now the opportunity has arrived. The new Chair nominated by President Trump, Mike Selig, is expected to have a confirmation hearing this week.
MoonPay clearly values this recruitment. CEO Ivan Soto-Wright posted on social media praising Pham’s policy achievements during her time at CFTC: “Her leadership has shaped a series of policies that expand financial freedom and promote crypto innovation. Now, we aim to turn these advances into tangible global user experiences and ecosystem development.”
A MoonPay spokesperson also revealed that since Selig is still awaiting confirmation, the exact start date for Pham has not yet been finalized. However, it is foreseeable that the addition of this regulatory executive will bring new perspectives and experience to MoonPay and similar crypto financial platforms in legal compliance and strategic planning.
