Today, December 25, 2025.. Bitcoin celebrates Christmas in the @87K region, around (approximately $86,800 – $87,600 according to the latest updates), after hovering around $90,000 throughout December and failing to break higher!
The market is very calm because:
- Very low liquidity during the holidays
- Large net outflows from ETF funds (large outflows last week)
- Upcoming option expiries (Option Expiry) that could suddenly move the market
Current situation (morning December 25):
Bitcoin (BTC) ≈ $87,000 ↘️ -0.5% to -1% in 24 hours
Ethereum (ETH) ≈ $2,900–$2,950 ↘️
Total Market Capitalization (Total Market Capitalization) ≈ $2.96–$3.02 trillion ↘️
Altcoins suffer larger losses (SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA) with bigger losses
But.. there is a positive point worth celebrating:
2025 is a record year for crypto mergers and acquisitions (reaching $8.6 billion – the highest in history!)
Institutions are still investing (BlackRock adds to digital asset team investments)
Privacy is regaining strength (Zcash and Monero are among the biggest winners in 2025)
