The government's contribution to BES has been reduced from 30% to 20%.
Let's look at the pros and cons:
+ The burden on the government budget decreases + Those who contribute the maximum are already high-income earners; it somewhat prevents the super-rich from getting even richer
- Negative impact on low-income individuals; what should have happened is a reduction in the maximum limit - The system's attractiveness decreases, total savings may decline
By the way, the biggest problem with BES is this: We cannot decide how the government's contribution will be evaluated. It is held in direct TL-based instruments and loses its real value over the years.
An example from my own 12-year BES: •My contribution: 300 units •Investment return on my contribution: 4000 units •Government contribution + its return: 250 units ( if I had chosen, this amount would also be 1000 units minimum )
There is an individual retirement system everywhere in the world, especially in Europe. Because national retirement systems are no longer sustainable.
For example, in Switzerland, there are 3 pillars: 1️⃣ State retirement (has started to fall short over the years) 2️⃣ Employer retirement (has also started to fall short) 3️⃣ Individual retirement
