Tether and video platform Rumble jointly launched a self-custody wallet product. This wallet embedded within the Rumble platform offers complete control over assets—no reliance on third-party custodians, with users directly holding their private keys.

In terms of asset support, the wallet already covers USDT, XAUT, and Bitcoin, with plans to add Tether USAT (also known as XAUT spot token) in the future. This means creators can directly perform instant tips and peer-to-peer payments and settlements within the platform, making the process more streamlined and cost-effective.

This direction is very interesting—breaking the traditional payment network’s constraints on creator economy. The self-custody model returns every transaction to the user, significantly simplifying the middle steps. For the content creation ecosystem, this is an intriguing attempt.

Really, finally a platform dares to try the self-custody wallet approach. Rumble's move still shows some foresight.

Manage your own money—that's what Web3 is supposed to be like.

Wow, Rumble has a built-in self-custody wallet? This is what the true creator economy should look like. With the private key in hand, I own everything, and I no longer have to be exploited by middlemen.

Finally, a platform that understands—self-custody is the way to go --- Rumble's move is brilliant, directly ditching third-party intermediaries --- Holding the private key gives me control of the world—love this straightforward approach --- Creators no longer have to suffer from platform fee cuts? I love this idea --- Wait, support for USDT and BTC too? Seems promising --- Self-custody wallets sound great, but will users actually use them? Haha --- Breaking the shackles of intermediaries—that's what Web3 should look like --- Low-cost peer-to-peer payments—wow, this is the way the creator economy should operate --- But can Rumble's user base keep up? Even the best tools are useless if no one uses them --- I trust self-managed private keys, but who knows if there will be any issues down the line

Finally, someone has understood the creator economy. No more being exploited by traditional payment channels. Rumble's move is quite interesting, directly removing middlemen. Self-custody wallets are truly Web3. If this thing really becomes usable, creators' revenue models will have to be completely rewritten. It's great to control your private keys yourself, but I'm worried users still don't understand what decentralization is. Is Tether making a killing here? But as long as it solves the pain points, it's fine. Finally, a major platform truly embracing self-custody. Those previous efforts were just empty talk.
