I received a call from California. Immediately recognized it as a classic scam pretending to be Coinbase. I decided to mess with him and see how far this guy could go. As a result, this dude directly came clean—saying he wants my crypto assets, it's just a matter of time. Lmao, so bold. I guess my response angered him. Jokes aside, this also reminds us—that scammers are endless, with all kinds of tricks. Be cautious of impersonation calls from exchanges; no matter how convincing, don't believe them. Want to take your assets? Not a chance.

Haha, these scammers' confidence is truly incredible. They come out in the open and still want to keep scamming? I think people like this should be teased more; wasting their time is the biggest revenge.

lmao this is exactly the kind of social engineering attack vector i've been documenting. the dude basically admitted his counter-party risk was non-existent once you called his bluff... classic exploit attempt. coinbase impersonation is such a low-effort attack surface tbh
