Ordinary people without support, only a main storyline!

As ordinary people, every step we take requires relentless effort.

This world is essentially a large-scale RPG game.

Some are paying players; from birth, their parents equip them with gear and max out their skills.

Most of us are free players, empty-handed and unarmed, thrown into the beginner village.

There’s no family to support you behind, and countless monsters ahead that you must fight yourself.

For people like us, the script of life is actually very simple.

What exactly is this main storyline? It’s not about getting into a good university, joining a big company, or buying a house.

These are just side quests or accessories to the main storyline.

Our one and only main task in life is divided into two halves: the first half, to accumulate initial capital;

the second half, to build a personal business system.

The so-called initial capital mainly consists of three types: first, financial capital. That is the amount in your bank account that allows you to live decently for a year without doing anything. This is the foundation of all your security.

Second, cognitive capital. The set of mental models in your mind that helps you see the true nature of the world and make correct decisions.

Third, health capital. Your body and mind capable of supporting you through this tough battle.

The system of personal business models is the key to living more easily and becoming more valuable in the second half of your life. It is an automated money-making machine that frees you from the trap of exchanging time for money.

In the first half of your life, your task is to stockpile bullets;

In the second half, your task is to build a machine that automatically fires bullets.

How to complete your initial capital accumulation? This is the most important and brutal phase of your first half of life. You need to act like a ascetic monk and accomplish three things.

First, treat yourself as an ascetic monk. You must live an extremely focused, even somewhat boring life.

Reject all ineffective social interactions and cheap entertainment that consume your time and money.

Use the time spent on short videos and heavy drinking to invest in your three main capitals. This process is tough, but it’s the only way for you as a free player to stand out.

Second, treat your job as your leveling-up ground. Never hold any emotional illusions about your first or even second job.

It’s not your home; it’s just a free or paid training ground.

Absorb nutrients from your current job like a sponge: learn skills, connect resources, observe how experts do it. Your salary is just the tuition fee you pay while leveling up in this company.

Third, regard your salary as your first pot of gold.

Every month, forcibly save half or even more of your income. This money is not for consumption; it’s the startup capital for all your future ventures, and not a single cent can be touched.

How to build your personal business system?

After years of hard work and completing the initial capital accumulation, you should immediately start the second half of your life: building your personal business system.

First, find your niche. You don’t need to compete with everyone; you only need to find a highly specialized area where you outperform 90% of people. This niche should ideally be at the intersection of what you love, what you’re good at, and market demand.

Second, develop your product. Turn your abilities in this niche into a product—an article, a course, a consultation, or a tool that solves small problems. You must have a clear value unit that you can quote to the market.

Third, establish your traffic channels.

Start consistently delivering value on a platform, such as Xiaohongshu or Video Account, so that those who need your product can find you.

A healthy personal business system is when you identify a market gap you can fill, then build a bridge with your content to connect yourself with your clients. This path is difficult and lonely. There are no strategies or shortcuts, and even few people will applaud you.

But that’s precisely what makes it charming, because every step you take is drawing a map for your own life; every hardship you endure is laying the foundation for your future family.
