Deep潮TechFlow News, January 9th, according to Caixin.com, a senior digital renminbi expert pointed out that based on the actual performance of mainstream public blockchains and the daily high concurrency demands of traditional payment systems, blockchain is not yet as efficient in transaction speed and overall performance as traditional centralized payment systems. However, in the field of cross-border payments, blockchain technology is more suitable. The main reason is that there is a lack of mutual trust among central banks of different countries. Interconnection between central banks requires an underlying technical system to support it. If a traditional centralized system is used, it will immediately face a tricky problem: where to place the data center? Placing it in any one country will cause other countries to be uneasy, worried about surveillance and data security. The distributed nature of blockchain can precisely solve this pain point, as each participating central bank manages its own node, forming a truly decentralized, distributed network.
