Zcash core developer Electric Coin Company's CEO Josh Swihart recently announced a strategic adjustment: the team has decided to fully focus on building the Zcash ecosystem, aiming for a user base in the billions.
In this process, ECC realized a problem—the goal of expanding and strengthening the project is inherently advantageous for startups, but difficult for non-profit organizations. Based on this reality, they established a new Zcash startup company dedicated to this effort.
The latest development is that the new wallet product developed jointly by ECC and the Zashi team has been launched. This wallet is currently in the testing phase, and interested users can apply via email for early access. This reflects Zcash's ongoing investment in improving user-side product experience and also signals a new direction in wallet innovation within the privacy coin sector.

Haha, finally some privacy coin projects have figured it out. Non-profit really holds them back.

Alright, ECC finally figured it out. Non-profit organizations really can't compete with startups... If this new wallet really becomes usable, then the game of privacy coins will be truly alive.

Zashi Wallet directly pushes hundreds of millions of users, that's quite aggressive. Privacy coins are really aiming to break through this time.

From non-profit to startup structure, this move is quite good. To be honest, non-profit structures are indeed difficult to attract new users, but the key question is—how is the retention data of the new wallet? Improving user experience alone is not enough; it depends on whether the incentive model can retain users.

Huh? If a non-profit can't do it, they just create a new company? That's a bit extreme. Are they secretly changing their identity to boost activity?
