A flash loan attack just occurred on the SEI chain. According to monitoring data from BlockSec Phalcon, the attacker launched this attack using the synnaxfi contract, borrowing approximately 1.96 million WSEI (worth about $240,000) through a flash loan.

Such attacks typically exploit price manipulation vulnerabilities within DeFi protocols. The attacker borrows a large amount of funds within the same block, executes malicious transactions, and then repays before the block ends. The entire process requires no actual funds, only paying the flash loan fee.

As a high-performance public chain, SEI has obvious advantages in transaction throughput. However, this incident also serves as a reminder that DeFi projects within the ecosystem need to strengthen contract audits and risk prevention. Similar flash loan attacks have occurred on multiple public chains such as Ethereum and Arbitrum. Prevention key points include avoiding over-reliance on single price oracles and implementing more rigorous mathematical model designs.

It is recommended that users in the SEI ecosystem stay tuned for official updates, and affected protocols should also release response plans as soon as possible.

Another flash loan attack, these things are hard to defend against Lost $240,000, it hurts SEI ecosystem needs to be more cautious, can't just focus on performance hype Why does it seem like every public chain can't escape this fate... synnaxfi this time really dropped the ball, how was the contract audited Alright, we'll have to wait for the official report again, same old story

It's another flash loan, this套路都烂了... SEI ecosystem needs to step up --- $240,000 is neither a lot nor a little, but the real concern is whether there are hidden bombs ahead --- synnaxfi was directly exposed this time; price oracles are truly the most vulnerable link in DeFi --- High performance ≠ high security; SEI needs to seriously reflect on its audit process --- If the smart contract audit can't keep up, even the fastest TPS is useless --- This issue has actually been warned about long ago; but no one paid attention

Another flash loan? Old tricks again, how come people are still falling for this kind of vulnerability? --- The SEI ecosystem is a bit weak, they haven't even figured out the price oracle. --- $240,000 can cause such a big stir? That's interesting. --- Why does every chain fall for this? It feels like there's no solution. --- Laughing to death, high performance is useless if the audits can't keep up. --- Wait, what is synnaxfi? Another shady DeFi? --- How many times has this happened? Still advising users to pay attention to notices, it's ridiculous. --- Whenever a problem occurs, it inevitably points to the oracle. Is there no other trick?

Here we go again, flash loans are back, when will this bunch of contract shit finally be written properly?

Here we go again... Tired of the flash loan tricks, really need to pay attention to contract audits SEI ecosystem's move, promised high performance, but safety can't keep up, really pointless Synnaxi's crash this time was complete, $240,000 just gone like that, it's really upsetting to think about Why do we always wait until something happens to strengthen protection? This logic is truly absurd Price oracle single point failure, when can this original sin be truly eradicated? It's basically a common problem in DeFi; no matter how much you optimize throughput, you can't patch such vulnerabilities Contract code review can't just be a formality; it needs real, thorough testing

Here we go again, the flash loan scam really gets annoying Synnaxfi got caught so quickly? The ecosystem still needs to be more cautious $240,000 lost, this is the most heartbreaking thing SEI is fast, but what about safety? Still need to learn more Price oracles are too fragile, I knew there would be problems long ago

Another flash loan... This time SEI couldn't escape either, losing $240,000 just like that. synnaxfi's contract really, the price oracle protection is just like paper. What's the use of high performance if risk control is not good, it can still be stabbed.

Coming again? What's going on with the SEI ecosystem... $240,000 just disappeared like that. Luckily, the price oracle issue should have been fixed long ago.

Here comes another flash loan, this time on SEI... $240,000 just disappeared like that. Why is synnaxfi still around? Is the audit just a formality? The pitfall of single-point reliance on oracles—luckily, someone keeps jumping in to teach us lessons. Wait, does anyone really compensate? Or has it become another unresolved case?

Here we go again, the flash loan tactic is really getting annoying. Honestly, SEI's security audit definitely needs to be stepped up. $240,000 just disappeared like that... it's really frustrating. Price oracles are indeed a weakness in DeFi, many projects have fallen victim. This time it's synnaxfi, next time who knows who it'll be. It seems that all public chains need to learn a lesson from Ethereum's blood and tears history.
