According to PANews on December 26, although the US stock market has officially reopened for trading, the holiday schedules of major global markets have shown significant divergence. This “staggered” phenomenon may cause some trading difficulties for investors.

US Market Opens as Usual, Futures Trading Fully Resumes

After the Christmas holiday, the US stock market and CME futures market entered normal trading days. CME’s precious metals, energy, forex, and stock index futures contracts all opened simultaneously, with trading hours maintaining regular arrangements. This ensures liquidity in the US market, allowing traders to participate normally in various derivatives trading.

However, it should be noted that US Treasury futures contracts remain suspended from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Beijing time, during which investors need to adjust their trading plans.

European Markets Continue Holiday, Multiple Exchanges Closed All Day

Unlike the rapid recovery in the US, European markets are still extending their holidays. Stock markets in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Europe, and Canada will continue to be closed all day, with trading not yet resumed. This also means that the linkage between markets across continents may be limited.
