Recently, there has been an interesting phenomenon worth discussing — the increasing presence of altcoins in the cryptocurrency market. According to industry data, altcoins now account for approximately 50% of the total cryptocurrency trading volume, surpassing Bitcoin's 27% and Ethereum's 23%.

What does this reflect? Simply put, traders' funds are gradually flowing into high-yield, high-volatility assets. After all, during bear markets or consolidation periods, low-liquidity small coins often provide more aggressive price swings, attracting traders seeking high returns.

From a market structure perspective, this change actually explains a lot. The dominance of leading assets like BTC and ETH in steering market trends is now being challenged as the altcoin camp's activity approaches theirs. This demonstrates a more mature market participation, more diversified investment strategies, and also indicates that the overall ecosystem's richness is continuously increasing.

Really? 50% trading volume in altcoins? Which one should I buy the dip on now? --- They talk about market maturity, but I think it's just gamblers getting restless again. --- Low liquidity small-cap coins are highly volatile... sounds like brainwashing for retail investors. --- Wait, where did this data come from? It seems a bit off. --- High returns and high volatility, in simple terms, high risk. Don't be fooled, everyone. --- Hold on, have the positions of BTC and ETH really loosened? Then I need to readjust my holdings. --- Rising activity in altcoins = market maturity? I don't buy that logic. --- So now I should go all-in on trash coins, huh? Haha, I won't fall for it. --- Increased ecosystem richness... sounds good, but in reality, isn't it just risk diversification?

50% of trading volume flows into altcoins, which shows everyone is betting on small coins doubling in value. Alright, this time the crypto world is really competitive, even BTC can't sit still. Oh my god, high volatility equals high risk. How many people will face a crash after this wave? By the way, isn't this just retail investor psychology— the ultimate version of chasing gains and selling at losses? Mature? I think it's just better at playing the heartbeat game. Talking about a rich ecosystem, I just want to ask why stablecoins aren't on the list... Mountain coin is back to cut leeks again; 50%—how many people will die from that?

It should be pointed out that the data basis for this assertion is itself questionable. On-chain data shows that 50% of trading volume does not exclude noise from off-chain trading and bot wash trading... Clearly, using trading volume to argue market maturity is a obvious logical fallacy. Let me tell you: so-called "diversification strategies" are nothing more than sophisticated packaging for high-leverage gamblers. Returning to the original Satoshi white paper—the value consensus of Bitcoin lies in its scarcity and immutability, not in trading frequency. You have got this point reversed. The artificially inflated liquidity of altcoins is a tragedy dictated by their technical fundamentals, without a doubt. I suggest everyone brush up and read the historical documents of the 2017 crash.

ngl, 50% of volume going to shitcoins is just natural selection at this point. learned this the hard way watching my portfolio get absolutely rekt by low-cap rug pulls. technically speaking, anyone calling this "market maturity" is either coping hard or hasn't gotten liquidated yet lol

50% of the trading volume? Man, how many people are gambling on those air coins? --- It's the same old story of high volatility and high returns. Can we avoid getting chopped up this time? --- What do you mean by diversification? Honestly, it's just retail investors going crazy. --- BTC is very stable; it's the AlphaDog trading altcoins. --- Is this data real? It doesn't seem that exaggerated. --- Mature? I think more people are starting to go all-in. --- The收益 from low-liquidity coins is really awesome, as long as you can run in time. --- Increasing ecosystem richness also means increased risk. --- Next time there's a big drop, you'll see who's swimming裸.

50%? Damn, altcoins are so competitive, it feels like BTC is being rubbed on the ground. --- Honestly, I still don't dare to touch those small coins; the volatility is too fierce and easy to get liquidated. --- The word "diversification" sounds so nice, but actually it's just gamblers finding new ways to bet haha. --- Wait, is this data about trading volume or market capitalization? The difference seems huge. --- Is this another signal of harvesting new retail investors? History always repeats itself. --- My friend once invested all in a small coin that skyrocketed 30 times, then went to zero. That's the price of high volatility. --- I don't think the popularity of altcoins is necessarily a good thing; it's easy for whales to manipulate.
