Having been in the crypto asset space for many years, I’ve uncovered a harsh truth💡: it's not that you can't make money; often, the market isn't to blame—it's yourself who’s sabotaging your success.

Take coins like $ZEC, which have stable upward trends. The market itself isn’t the problem; the real issues are human. You learn a bunch of technical indicators, can explain trading logic perfectly, but once you’re on a real account, you immediately drop the ball.

When making a small profit, you start to get carried away, thinking "one more wave." When you suffer a slight loss, you get aggressive, insisting on holding on to recover your capital. You know you should stop and rest, but you keep spinning in the illusion of "just one more trade to turn things around." The end result is usually the same: profits are wiped out, your capital shrinks, and all that’s left is self-deprecating humor—"I’ve fallen again."

Recently, a buddy who followed my lead in real trading initially made a steady profit in one month by sticking to the rhythm. I advised him to slow down and take profits when things looked good, but he didn’t listen. After a small gain, he started blindly adding positions and bottom-fishing everywhere, thinking he had cracked the code. When the market reversed, his account was wiped out.

This is the most common elimination method in the crypto world: it’s not that people don’t know how to make money, but that they can’t control themselves after they start winning.

Those who truly go far in this circle never rely on aggressive order placement; instead, they master three skills: having the courage to take profits when it’s time, waiting patiently in cash when the market is unclear, and knowing when to stop and stay calm when emotions run high.

Experts are rarely trading every day. True wisdom lies in understanding the power of "doing nothing." Only when you can preserve your capital can you stay in the game long-term. Keep your rhythm, and opportunities will naturally come back to you.

Honestly, this paragraph hits close to home because I am that fool who "gets cocky after a small profit and stubbornly holds on after a loss." Every time I think I've understood, I believe I can control myself next time, but the cycle just repeats. Hearing others explain it so thoroughly really stings a bit.

It's too true, just can't control this habit of mine. When I see prices going up, I want to chase; when I lose, I want to recover it. In the end, I lose everything. --- My buddy is the same. He makes a little money in a month and thinks he's the chosen one. But now he's still complaining. --- It's all about mindset. When you make money, you want to take another shot. That thought is the most dangerous. --- Holding no position is really difficult, but not holding is even harder, always losing. --- You're right, but how many can really do it? I, for one, can't. --- Knowing when to do nothing is indeed a high-level move, but I just can't sit still. Two days of stopping feels unbearable. --- The most heartbreaking truth in the crypto world: making money depends on the market, losing money is all on yourself. --- I've engraved the phrase "Lock in profits" in my mind, but I always forget it, really. --- It feels like all these are the truth, but executing them is still too difficult.

That's right, I just can't control myself. Seeing the account fluctuate makes me want to place another order, but I end up losing everything back.
