#美国贸易赤字状况 $BTC $ETH $BNB The Ethereum roadmap has once again seen new developments. According to the latest news, Tim Beiko, the core developer of the Ethereum Foundation, is adjusting his focus. Over the next few months, he plans to shift from foundational protocol development to innovative exploration at the application layer. Currently, he needs to ensure the stable operation of the AllCoreDevs team while managing various responsibilities within the foundation, which are his recent core tasks.
Biko's perspective is quite interesting. He believes that the Ethereum protocol itself has reached a relatively mature stage, but the truly exciting part is just beginning — those application scenarios that can only run on Ethereum, truly leveraging its permissionless features, high scalability, economic security guarantees, and low validation costs. This is the area he aims to explore deeply. The core question he wants to discuss is: what applications inherently require these unique attributes of Ethereum? How can these advantages be maximized?

nah tbh, "protocol maturity" is just cope language for "we've already extracted most gains from layer 1 infrastructure"... the real yield optimization happens in applications? sounds like someone's trying to justify why eth mainnet gas fees haven't justified their roadmap spend lol

The protocol layer is no longer competitive, so now it's the application layer? To put it simply, there's not much to optimize about ETH itself anymore; it has to rely on ecosystem projects to save the day...

Once the protocol matures, it's time to mine applications, and this logic makes sense. But the problem is, where is the real killer app now? Still waiting.

Once the protocol matures, it's time to find new growth points. This logic makes sense. But it seems that just shouting slogans is useless; where is the real killer app?
