BTC is fluctuating around $90,540, with a 24-hour decline of about 0.6%; ETH is hovering near $3,088, with a decline close to 1%. On the surface, the data does seem somewhat weak, but the underlying logic is worth paying attention to.

Large capital flows are clearly rotating. Many funds are gradually shifting from BTC to ETH, and this signal is very significant. Market participants and institutional investors see ETH as the most promising alternative token in 2026, and this consensus has not formed by chance.

Interestingly, analysts have proposed a view: BTC has already broken out of the traditional four-year cycle framework. The performance in 2025 has already confirmed this. This means that investment strategies relying solely on historical patterns may need adjustment; more often, the fundamentals should be the focus.

Yesterday’s December non-farm employment data fell short of expectations, directly triggering market selling pressure. Both BTC and ETH were affected, but it’s worth noting that ETH showed relatively stronger resilience — perhaps also confirming the authenticity of the capital rotation.

Currently, two events require close attention: the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on global tariff policies is still pending, which could bring short-term volatility and policy uncertainty; additionally, the Senate Banking Committee will vote on the Crypto Market Structure Act next week. If passed smoothly, this will clarify the commodity status of BTC and ETH, which is a major positive for institutional deployment.

Overall, the market is indeed digesting the pressure from yesterday’s employment data. But ETH’s relatively steady performance, combined with positive signals from legislative expectations, suggests that the market may be brewing new opportunities. During this window, paying attention to the ruling outcomes and support levels is very important.

ETH's resilience this time is truly impressive; the capital rotation is not just talk.

The cycle theory is about to fail again. History doesn't repeat itself, but it always rhymes... As for capital rotation, to put it simply, it's just big players covering their escape.

ETH has a good resistance to decline, and capital rotation is indeed happening.
