There's a fresh project hitting the market with a $20M valuation in its seed round. On the surface, it looks like another promising opportunity—plenty of buzz, solid community backing. But here's where things get murky.

People seem conveniently forgetting this team's track record. Past controversies, sketchy moves, allegations that should've sunk them already. Yet the hype machine keeps rolling, and critical voices get drowned out in the noise.

Call me cynical, but there's a pattern you can't ignore. Anyone throwing their weight behind ICO-style projects these days—especially from teams with baggage—is basically playing roulette with their portfolio. The space is littered with cautionary tales.

The reality? Most retail investors don't do the homework. They chase the narrative, ignore the red flags, and wonder why they're watching their bags burn. Until the ecosystem actually enforces accountability, expect more of the same.
