A major social media platform just got hit—17.5 million user accounts compromised in a data breach that's already flooding inboxes with password reset notifications. The leaked data is basically a golden ticket for scammers: emails, phone numbers, personal details. Identity fraud and phishing attacks? Expect them. For crypto users, this hits different—if your social media account is linked to your exchange accounts or crypto wallet recovery phrases, you're potentially exposed. The platform's parent company hasn't officially acknowledged the breach yet, but security experts are already sounding alarms. Time to enable two-factor authentication everywhere and audit which services have your personal info.

ngl this breach really can't be contained this time, 17.5 million accounts directly compromised... My social media accounts have long been disconnected from the exchange, and it now seems that was the right decision.
