I recently discovered a pretty useful trick and want to share it with fellow crypto enthusiasts.
Many people view their holdings on exchanges with the default display in USD. The problem is—seeing USD figures every day causes significant psychological fluctuations. A rise of a few tens of dollars feels insignificant; a drop of a few tens of dollars makes you feel like you're losing a lot. This "number illusion" can lead to many irrational decisions.
The simplest solution? Change the asset display unit to RMB.
Why is this so effective? It's very intuitive. Seeing the RMB figures, you can immediately convert to actual purchasing power. Knowing what a few thousand yuan can buy gives you a clear sense. This way, you have a more realistic perception of your positions and are less likely to be misled by floating USD numbers. Know when to cut losses and when to hold, making your judgment clearer.
It's also easy to do—just find the currency display preferences in the exchange settings and select RMB.
Everyone who has tried this method says their mindset has become much more stable. Investing is inherently a long-term game; don’t let small tricks with number units influence your big decisions.

ngl this is just psychological anchoring with extra steps... but like, the regression analysis checks out? p-value on "feeling less poor in CNY" is probably statistically significant fr fr

This move is brilliant. I've been doing it this way for a long time. Seeing the RMB figures definitely keeps my mindset much more stable.

Really, switching to RMB makes me feel much more stable mentally, otherwise I'm constantly being fooled by the dollar figures.
