A certain DEX project went through a difficult exploration period. They tried solutions from three leading cloud service providers, but each time they hit the same wall.

The core issue is actually quite painful: data availability is so important, yet it is completely dependent on the performance of a single commercial cloud provider. Such architecture design carries too many hidden risks.
Later, they made a key decision—to switch to decentralized storage solutions. A core team member mentioned that they had previously spent a lot of effort and credit quota on traditional cloud services like Google Cloud and AWS, but they could never fully solve the problem. Ultimately, they chose decentralized infrastructure like Walrus, which truly broke through the ceiling of data availability from the root.
This reflects a trend: Web3 projects are gradually realizing that the performance bottlenecks and single points of failure of centralized cloud services have become the main contradictions restricting development.
