【Crypto World】The Morpho team recently announced a change: starting February 1st, their Discord server will switch to read-only mode. What does this mean? In simple terms, the official support will no longer be provided through Discord.
All technical support and user feedback are now integrated into Morpho’s help page and online chat box. The reason behind this shift is straightforward—Morpho co-founder Merlin Egalite candidly stated: “There are too many scammers on Discord. No matter how strict your monitoring is, users seeking help there are still vulnerable to phishing.”
They are now using the Intercom system, which is said to be fully featured: supporting multi-language instant translation, built-in help center, AI customer service robots, and ticket tracking management. For DeFi projects, user security is always the top priority. Handling support issues directly through official channels can indeed reduce the risk of scams.
It seems many Web3 projects are making similar adjustments—shifting from open communities to more controlled official channels. Is this a sign of project maturity, or a signal of community decentralization? It depends on how you see it.

Discord is shut down, so be it. Anyway, they've changed the help page. Huh? Who would use this?
---
Another project has run away to official channels. Discord has really become a burden.
---
Honestly, this is not surprising. Managing communities is too exhausting.
---
It's been obvious for a while now that the flavor of centralization is growing stronger.
---
So now we have to look up documentation for every problem? Not bad.
---
Morpho's recent moves are indeed a bit cold.
---
Miners have dispersed, the community is gone. What's next?
---
I just admire this kind of "integrated support" claim. Sounds like cost-cutting or something.

Isn't this just another way for the project team to be lazy, simply pushing retail investors out?
Closing Discord feels like the community is gone; anyway, I won't bother checking their official website.
Morpho's recent moves really can't hold up anymore...
Can you honestly say there's activity on Discord through official channels? That's pure nonsense.
Yet another typical case of neglecting users under the guise of "for easier management."
Learning to switch Discord to read-only, huh? That's how they're playing it now.

lmao morpho really said "discord is inefficient" and honestly? they're not wrong. consolidating support into one channel cuts down on gas fees... wait i mean response latency. anyway this is just optimization theater tbh

Leaving Discord to go to the official website? Here we go again... Big projects all want to cut operational costs
But to be honest, official website support is indeed more reliable than the chaotic Discord group chats
Morpho's move feels like a step towards gradually decentralizing the community... a bit disappointing
Discord is cooling off, major projects are pulling out, I don't even know who will stay there in the end
It's only a matter of time, this is the fate of Web3 projects — eventually, they all have to build their own ecosystem

Another project is leaving Discord again. This trend is becoming more and more obvious.
Is Discord really about to become a retirement home?
Honestly, community management is too exhausting; the official website chat box is easier to control.

Another project abandons Discord, it's really getting annoying
It seems like project teams want centralized management, but actually they just want to reduce trouble
Is Discord changing to read-only? How will community discussions work then? It feels a bit cold
Wait, no, why do those people insist on moving to the official website? Discord is so convenient
It's the same old story, playing Web3 is really a bit exhausting
Why do projects like Morpho close their Discord communities and migrate to official support channels?
