Reth and OP-Reth release version 1.10.0, bringing a series of important improvements. The most notable is the approximately 25% performance boost in newPayload, which means a significant enhancement in transaction processing efficiency.
This update also adds RPC endpoint options, giving developers more flexible configuration options. However, it is important to note that the SDK has undergone breaking changes, so review the update logs carefully before upgrading.
Special reminder: If you previously customized merkle pruning configurations, be sure to re-evaluate the relevant parameters to ensure compatibility with the new version. Upgrading is simple; you can complete it by running the apt update and apt install commands.

A 25% performance boost sounds great, but the SDK breaking changes are really annoying, and I have to redo the configuration again.

25% performance improvement sounds good, but the breaking changes in the SDK are a bit annoying.
The merkle pruning configuration needs to be changed... which means another round of tinkering, indeed.
Having more RPC endpoint options is really nice, it improves the development experience.
The one-click upgrade with the apt command is still considerate.
Just make sure to carefully review all the documentation before upgrading to avoid any issues.

Having to change the Merkle configuration again... Why is this version update so complicated?
---
Having more RPC endpoint options is a good thing, just worried about potential pitfalls
---
newPayload is four times faster, now the op chain can run more smoothly
---
Breaking changes are truly headache-inducing, make sure to read the documentation carefully before upgrading
---
Just a simple apt update? I'll wait to see community feedback before upgrading
---
This update is very developer-friendly, more configuration options are really needed
---
Merkle pruning needs to be re-evaluated, feels very easy to get trapped

A 25% performance improvement sounds great, but why does the SDK still need to undergo breaking changes... You really need to review carefully before upgrading, or you'll end up messing around again.

newPayload increases by 25% sounds good, but where does the specific data come from? After research and analysis, such performance claims often fall short in actual scenarios. It is recommended to run a local test first.
