Recently spun up Claude Code in my homelab and managed to pull off some seriously impressive setups. Got a PostgreSQL Docker container running smoothly, built out a local knowledge base in markdown to organize different project workflows, then automated the backup process—everything flows directly from the Docker image to my local storage without breaking a sweat.
The real kicker? Synced those backups to Google Drive with end-to-end encryption through rclone. The whole pipeline just works. No manual intervention, no scattered files, just pure automation handling the heavy lifting. It's the kind of setup that makes you wonder why every developer doesn't run this already.

ngl this automation pipeline is truly awesome, and the step of using rclone with e2e encryption is really impressive... But I just want to ask, does the homelab really need to be such a hassle? Once you get Docker running, do you ever touch it again? Haha

NGL, this setup sounds incredibly awesome. The part with rclone plus e2e encryption is truly amazing, making things so much easier that it’s a complete game-changer.

NGL, this automation process is amazing. Using rclone to encrypt and sync to the cloud without dropping the connection—how long did it take so many developers to figure this out?

This automation process is truly amazing. I also use rclone for encrypted synchronization, which is much more enjoyable than manual backups.

Homelab setup is really hassle-free, encrypting and syncing to Google Drive with rclone is truly awesome... But to be honest, who would really take the time to maintain this setup?
