Let's be practical. What I am most optimistic about is not the short-term market movements.

Right now, many people are capturing emotional fluctuations, but what’s truly exciting is another dimension—the Walrus project, which happens to be at the watershed of the next stage of Web3.

As application scale begins to truly expand and on-chain data volume grows exponentially, the market will inevitably reevaluate the "data layer" infrastructure. And Walrus has already laid out its plans in advance.

It is built on the Sui ecosystem, removing the need for coding and Blob storage at the foundational level, distributing large-scale data to decentralized networks in a low-cost, censorship-resistant manner. It sounds very technical, but the core logic is simple—once Web3 enters the real business stage, this solution quickly shifts from an "option" to a "necessity."

The more people use it and the more data is stored, the clearer the demand for this system becomes. This value logic driven by practical application is often severely underestimated in the early stages and only revalued by the market later. I call this "usage-driven premium."

From my perspective, Walrus is the kind of project that doesn’t rely on marketing or storytelling, but once the market understands it, it’s hard to see it as cheap again. The current stage is all about this cognitive gap—you see the technology, but the market sees a future necessity.

Well said, the data layer is indeed easy to overlook, and short-term traders haven't even understood this logic. Most people who are optimistic about Walrus are those with deep thinking; currently, it's still in the stage of cognitive gap. By the time it’s truly used, the cheap prices will be gone.

According to on-chain data tracking, the fund flow of Walrus in the Sui ecosystem is indeed interesting. In simple terms, the fact that there are few buyers now indicates that the awareness hasn't fully caught on yet. This is the point I want to make—the watershed between early movers and latecomers.

ngl the "usage-driven premium" framing here is basically just deconstructing infrastructure as an emerging art form... once utility becomes aestheticized, scarcity shifts from tokenomics to narrative. walrus might actually be onto something paradigmatic.

Wait a moment, I need to think this through... The need for the data layer is definitely valid, but can Walrus really secure this position? I still feel like the Sui ecosystem itself hasn't really taken off yet.
