Intergenerational Divide: How do Generation Z and Baby Boomers View Crypto Platforms?

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】A recent survey reveals an interesting phenomenon—the significant differences in attitudes toward crypto platforms across different age groups.

The data for Generation Z and Millennials stand out the most: 40% and 41% respectively express high trust in crypto platforms. These two generations have grown up immersed in the internet, making them naturally less unfamiliar with digital assets. They not only adopt new things quickly but also see their trust increase through actual participation in the crypto market.

What about the Baby Boomer generation? Only 9% of them show high trust in crypto platforms. The reason is clear—this generation is accustomed to traditional financial systems, with 74% expressing deep trust in traditional banks. Decades of experience have made them feel secure in this familiar system.

Most notably, there is a consensus among Generation Z and Millennials: nearly half believe that cryptocurrencies will be on par with traditional finance in the future, or even surpass it. This is not just a matter of trust but also reflects young users’ predictions about the future direction of the entire financial ecosystem.

This survey actually reveals a deeper logic: trust is not generated out of thin air but is closely related to a person’s environment, usage habits, and personal experiences. As the new generation continues to participate in the crypto market, how will this trust gap evolve? Perhaps this is more worth pondering than the current data suggests.

This data is interesting. What does the 40% trust level among Generation Z indicate... and what about the 60%? Why are so many still hesitant? I can understand the older generation sticking to banks, but 9% is really too low. It definitely feels like a generation gap. I’d like to see where those trust crypto among the post-80s are, why isn’t anyone mentioning them?

Uh, 40% trust? I find that hard to believe. Are there fewer friends around me who lost everything playing with coins? My parents' generation sleeps soundly just holding bank cards, but we, who have been taught to be cut by the leek, understand what risk really means. It's truly an intergenerational divide—young people dare to gamble on the future, while the elderly prefer stability. I don't believe these trust level statistics in the crypto world. These 9% Baby Boomers are probably all just listening to their children boast. Wait, half of Generation Z really think that crypto can stand on equal footing with traditional finance? That idea is way too optimistic. It's funny—when the bear market hits, let's see how many still have "high trust." Intergenerational division is clear: we can afford to lose, but they can't.

Haha, this is hilarious. Old people just don’t get it. These numbers are really heartbreaking. --- Honestly, that 9% figure is just incredible. The Baby Boomers have been brainwashed by traditional banks. --- I just want to ask, how did their 74% trust come about? Did they forget the financial crisis? --- Generation Z is winning big; the future is ours. --- This survey is interesting, but I still think the crypto community’s trust needs to prove itself further. --- The older generation holding onto traditional finance really doesn’t stand a chance anymore. Times have changed, brother. --- Over 40 percentage points trusting crypto platforms? I feel like people around me are still being scammed. --- They’ve basically given up understanding the Baby Boomers, haha. --- It's evenly matched? That’s a bit optimistic, but the direction is definitely right. --- Internet natives are just different; they’re born with built-in antibodies.

40% trust rate? Honestly, that's still too conservative. Most of the Z guys around me are already playing, they just don't like to talk about it.

Haha, elderly people really can't play it. Once you're used to the banking system, you can't go back.
