World (formerly Worldcoin) announces the open-source release of its GKR + Hyrax proof system Remainder, developed by Tools for Humanity. This system allows users to run machine learning (ML) models locally on their mobile devices for privacy-sensitive data and generate zero-knowledge proofs of correct execution. With Remainder, World users can upgrade their IrisCode directly on their devices without needing to revisit an Orb. Currently, the open-source code and accompanying technical documentation for this project have been released to the public.
