I remember the first time I went to an internet cafe was in 1998. At that time, I was building the North Fourth Ring Road, and the road to the internet cafe was either dusty and windy or muddy and muddy. This small matter certainly couldn't dampen my enthusiasm.

Back then, it was called an internet cafe, but there was no internet—only LAN battles, the same as in game arcades. Initially, it cost 10 yuan per hour, but the price quickly dropped due to their own competition. The surrounding area was filled with internet cafes, and after a year, the price stabilized at 3.5 yuan.
The first game I played at an internet cafe was Red Alert, similar to later StarCraft. During that period, I also played Duke Nukem 3D, Road Rash, Age of Empires, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
The best game I played among these was Duke Nukem, a first-person shooter, which also laid the groundwork for my later dominance in CS 1.5 when I was in middle school.
And surprisingly, I played CS and DOTA from my student days all the way until marriage and having children. I can't quite explain what makes them so addictive—whenever I was bored, I just wanted to play a few rounds.
Wanting to buy osmanthus and carry wine together, but nothing beats the carefree days of youth!
