People’s Financial News, March 28 - On the 28th local time, Ahmed Abadi, a spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity, stated that Iran has stopped supplying natural gas to southern Iraq since the evening of the 27th, previously providing a daily volume of 10 million cubic meters. Abadi noted that the amount of natural gas Iran currently supplies to central Iraq is also limited to 10 million cubic meters per day. Abadi pointed out that the ongoing turmoil in the region is impacting oil extraction, production, and exports within Iraq. The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity is closely monitoring the regional situation to ensure that Iran’s restrictions do not affect the fuel supply needed for power plants in Iraq. (CCTV News)
