People’s Financial News, March 27 - According to statistics from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, in February 2026, the total transaction volume in China’s foreign exchange market (excluding the foreign currency pair market, the same below) reached 18.15 trillion yuan (equivalent to 2.61 trillion USD). Among them, the bank-to-customer market had a transaction volume of 3.31 trillion yuan (equivalent to 0.48 trillion USD), while the interbank market had a transaction volume of 14.84 trillion yuan (equivalent to 2.14 trillion USD); the spot market accumulated a transaction volume of 7.12 trillion yuan (equivalent to 1.03 trillion USD), and the derivatives market accumulated a transaction volume of 11.02 trillion yuan (equivalent to 1.59 trillion USD). From January to February 2026, the total transaction volume in China’s foreign exchange market reached 45.69 trillion yuan (equivalent to 6.55 trillion USD).
