A 39-year-old woman in Hong Kong met a man claiming to be an employee of a new energy company through a dating app, and the relationship developed into a romantic connection on WhatsApp. The man lured her into investing cryptocurrency on a fraudulent platform, causing her to transfer over 5.5 million Hong Kong dollars within two months before losing contact. The Hong Kong Police have received 15 similar fraud cases with a total amount involved of nearly 10 million Hong Kong dollars.
