Golden Finance reported that, according to the latest information, a New York judge ruled that the criminal case of Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm will go to trial. The US Department of Justice has charged Storm and his colleague Roman Semenov with three crimes, including conspiring to commit money laundering, operating an unlicensed money transfer business, and violating the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, involving assisting the North Korean Hacker organization Lazarus Group in money laundering of more than $1 billion. Storm has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and his defense team claims that he only wrote the code for Tornado Cash. The trial is set to begin on December 2, and if convicted, Storm could face up to 45 years in prison.
