Analysis: Institutions remain optimistic about the mid-term rise potential of Crypto Assets.
Gate News bot message, recently the US Bitcoin and Ethereum Spot ETF have shown a continuous net inflow trend. BRN chief research analyst Valentin Fournier stated: “Data indicates that institutional investors remain optimistic about the mid-term rise potential of Crypto Assets, but the catch-up phase for Ethereum seems to have ended. Although institutional fund inflows have increased, its development momentum remains weak due to geopolitical concerns and a lack of catalysts.”
The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) on Wednesday, as expected, kept U.S. interest rates unchanged, but Fournier noted that the tone of the statement and subsequent comments was noticeably hawkish. “Bitcoin continues to hold above $100,000, but is struggling to break through resistance, and unless momentum picks up, it is likely to retest the support level of $102,000,” he added. “Given the increasing macroeconomic uncertainty and the lack of catalysts in the short term, we remain cautious. The recovery of ETF inflows provides some comfort, but the price trend remains fragile.”
However, David Hernandez, a cryptocurrency investment expert at 21Shares, holds a more optimistic view. “As confidence in a perfectly designed ‘soft landing’ wanes and global financial trends diverge, Bitcoin’s fundamental attributes—scarcity, decentralization, and neutrality—make it an increasingly important and attractive asset for investors in an uncertain future,” Hernandez said. “Bitcoin has firmly established itself above $100,000, and its resilience amid geopolitical shocks proves its widespread adoption and the developing investment case.”
