Jin10 data reported on August 27, Fed’s Barkin stated that given he expects little change in economic activity for the remainder of the year, the Intrerest Rate will undergo moderate adjustments. “I see the economy operating moderately. If the economy operates moderately, that means the Intrerest Rate will also adjust moderately,” he said. “I’m not sure if the economy will really develop that moderately. We’ll have to wait and see at that time. So this is my prediction, but predictions can change.” Barkin declined to specify what actions he might support in September. “I know there are three and a half weeks until the next meeting, and I will make the best judgment I can that day, based on all the information.”
