The strategy continues to raise the interest rate of the preferential stock STRC, reinforcing the Bitcoin strategy.

Strategy has just raised the annual dividend yield of the Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch (STRC) preferred stock from 10% to 10.25%, effective from October 1st. The company also announced a cash dividend of 0.854166667 USD per share on October 31st for shareholders who hold the rights as of October 15th.

This is the second increase in less than a month. On September 2, Strategy raised the STRC interest rate from 9% to 10% — the same day it announced the purchase of 4,048 BTC worth 449.3 million USD, raising its total Bitcoin holdings to 636,505 BTC, with a total cost of 46.95 billion USD. This investment accounts for more than 3% of Bitcoin's maximum supply, placing it among the largest Bitcoin reserves held by enterprises in the world.

The funding for the transaction was raised through the sale of 425.3 million USD of Class A common stock and 46.5 million USD from preferred stock issuance programs (STRK, STRF, STRD).

Despite being criticized by short seller James Chanos for “deleveraging” due to reliance on equity rather than preferred stock, Strategy asserts that demand remains strong. In 2025 alone, the company raised $5.6 billion through preferred stock, accounting for 12% of total IPOs in the U.S.

STRC launched in July as a non-convertible preferred security with a floating interest rate, listed on Nasdaq alongside other common and preferred stocks of Strategy.
