Jin10 data reported on October 10, Citigroup analyst Aman Bansal stated in a report that France's medium to long-term bond issuance target for 2026 will be determined by the estimated deficit in the budget. According to Citigroup's estimates, if the deficit target is set at 4.9% of GDP, this will be consistent with a total issuance of 360 billion euros, including the impact of repurchases and a net cash demand of 165 billion euros. This interest rate strategist noted: "This will be about 8 billion euros less than in 2025, but as a percentage of GDP, it will still be one of the highest among the EMU-11 (the 11 largest sovereign issuers in the Eurozone)." He stated that if the final budget is approved in a timely manner, this target may be updated in December. Bansal said: "Any changes beyond that may be reflected in the issuance of short-term treasury bills."
