"10·11" Revelation: The Evolution Logic of Crypto Ecological Paradigm and Digital Civilization Order

Author: EcoFi m&W Founder Jerry

The crypto space is once again in a state of chaos. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last—if the crypto ecosystem paradigm cannot complete its iteration, such events will continue to occur.

Attributing the cause to market behavior triggered by Trump's tariffs is not rigorous, as the feedback from traditional financial capital markets is of a different magnitude compared to the $19.3 billion in liquidations caused by the crash in the crypto market — the crypto sector triggered the largest liquidation in history.

The reason lies in the zero-sum game nature of speculation and炒作 in the crypto space—manipulating a power-based oracle only requires precise timing. Just as humanity has not been able to learn from historical lessons throughout its long history, the crypto space has not learned anything from the painful experiences that have occurred in the past.

This is a wake-up call - we hope that blockchain/web3 can help establish order in the AI computing power network, yet we cannot even safeguard our own order.

Since the summer of DeFi in 2020, the crypto ecosystem has seen several new narratives emerge, but it has proven that the construction of the crypto ecosystem is at a standstill—if tracks like DEX and DePin can make significant progress, a sustainable trading ecosystem in the crypto space based on decentralized oracle networks can be established.

We chose this historic-level bleeding event in the cryptocurrency circle as an opportunity to write this article, hoping to find a consensus in the crypto ecosystem—how to promote the evolution of the crypto ecosystem paradigm to support the order establishment of AI computing power networks through blockchain/web3.

  1. The cryptocurrency sector needs to evolve from a zero-sum game to a capital allocation that empowers the real economy (the crypto market empowering the Web3 industry). We have already discussed this in the context of how Hong Kong can become a global crypto center in 2023. For Hong Kong to become a global crypto center, it must address the contradiction and unity between “financial speculation and capital allocation” in the field of the crypto economy—focusing on the core of “financial speculation and capital allocation” to leverage DeFi and the capital of the cryptocurrency sector to empower the Web3 industry, achieve the development of the native Web3 technology application market, and promote the integration of virtual assets in the crypto economy with the real-world financial system. For more information, please see “Hong Kong has little possibility of becoming a 'global crypto center', why.”

  2. We need to bring together excellent practitioners from the crypto ecosystem and help them find like-minded friends in the speculative environment of the cryptocurrency world. The operational foundation of this community is that the crypto ecosystem has already accumulated enough quality content, and crypto practitioners choose good articles that align with their own beliefs for their own use — they do not have to write articles themselves, but they must have the ability to discern good articles.

  3. Co-construct EcoFi (Ecological Finance) with outstanding practitioners in the cryptocurrency industry, fully leveraging the Token mechanism based on a sufficiently large community of cryptocurrency practitioners to achieve efficient cooperation in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

  4. Based on the above conditions, incubate “AI + blockchain/web3” and establish order in the AI computing power network through the practical implementation of projects one by one from the bottom up.

Of course, there is another possibility, which is that Satoshi Nakamoto makes a comeback, or that a creator on the level of Satoshi Nakamoto emerges to establish order for the AI computing power network from the top down. Only Satoshi Nakamoto and early Bitcoin fundamentalists have the ability to design from the top down and practice establishing order for intelligent networks using blockchain. This is the only way to ensure success— even if we will still tirelessly strive to promote the bottom-up progress of “AI + blockchain”… For details, please see “Written at the Initiation of m&WDAO: We Need Satoshi Nakamoto.”

In the article “We Need Satoshi Nakamoto”, we mainly discussed the urgency - because the exponential growth of AI computing power limits our time window. However, based on the opportunity of this writing, it is necessary for us to further discuss the logic of computing power and order, as well as the evolution of human civilization.

If we quantify the course of human history in millennia, we have experienced tumultuous changes in regimes and systems, yet the civilization of humanity and society has not made significant progress; however, in the process of human evolution measured in tens of thousands of years, we can touch upon a question close to the origins of humanity — how did our ancestors, with no claws for defense and no strong bones, survive in the jungle law where “might is right” and establish a dominance and destructive power that surpasses mere survival at the top of the Earth's biological chain? Therefore, in the coming decades, we will face an ultimate question regarding the direction of humanity — how do we coexist with AI in a digital civilization order where “computational power” reigns supreme?

Let’s encourage each other as practitioners in the crypto ecosystem. This may be our opportunity, even if there will be many difficulties.
