The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission launched a fundraising campaign to support the victims of the Tai Po fire.

According to Mars Finance, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has initiated an employee donation campaign to support the victims of the Tai Po fire. It stated that as a public institution, the SFC will work hand in hand with all sectors of society to provide support to the victims and their families during this difficult time. The SFC calls on all employees to actively participate in the donation campaign and voluntarily offer any form of assistance to those in need. The SFC will donate all the funds raised from this donation campaign, along with the budget for the annual employee dinner (originally scheduled for December but now canceled), to the “Tai Po Wong Fuk Yuen Assistance Fund” established by the Hong Kong SAR government.
