The number of seats won by the UK Labour Party exceeded the expectations of the exit polls

On July 5th, according to Sky News, the official performance of the UK Labour Party in the UK general election was better than the forecast of the exit poll last night. The exit poll predicted that the party would win 410 seats, but they have just won their 411th seat. There are 5 seats yet to be announced, which means that the Labour Party will not reach the 431 seats predicted by YouGov in the final pre-election poll. The situation for the Conservative Party will be worse than the exit poll shows, currently with only 119 seats. The Liberal Democrats won 71 seats, compared to the exit poll's 61, making it their best result ever.
