Indian court prohibits police from freezing the entire bank account in Cryptocurrency fraud investigation

Golden Finance reported that the Madras High Court of India ruled that the police cannot freeze the entire bank account during a fraud investigation, but only the amount related to the fraud in the bank account. This ruling came after a case of freezing accounts due to a cryptocurrency investigation. Judge G. Jayachandran emphasized that freezing the entire account would deprive individuals of their livelihood and financial stability. He pointed out that account holders often do not know why their accounts are frozen, and when they find out, their daily financial and business transactions have already suffered significant losses.
