Odaily Planet Daily News Software development giant Oracle Corporation has once again sued cryptocurrency startup Crypto Oracle LLC and its owner Louis Kerner, accusing them of "resuming infringement of Oracle's trademark rights" and "openly violating" the settlement protocol. Oracle initially sued the Cryptocurrency company in 2019, accusing it of "using Oracle's famous trademark as part of its 'CryptoOracle' brand, and using the brand to promote Cryptocurrency-related services to Oracle's own customers and users." Afterwards, the two companies reached a confidentiality settlement, and the court issued a permanent injunction in 2020, prohibiting Crypto Oracle from using the name "CryptoOracle" or any variant of the Oracle trademark. However, Oracle now claims that Crypto Oracle and Kerner have resumed using the name and brand 'CryptoOracle', launching new business, maintaining infringing domain names, and hosting events under the brand 'CryptoOracle Collective', in violation of the settlement protocol and court injunctions.
