Zelensky: looking forward to meeting with Trump

On January 3, Jin Shi Data reported that on the evening of January 2, local time, Ukrainian President Zelensky revealed in an interview with local media that U.S. President-elect Trump had told him that ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict was his top priority and he would strive to achieve this goal. Zelensky believes that the two will meet after Trump takes office. Zelensky hopes that Trump’s plans can align with Ukraine’s vision, but does not rule out contacts between the U.S. and Russia to understand what concessions each party is willing to make. Zelensky emphasized that the next step must focus on ending the intense phase of the conflict. Zelensky also believes that for Ukraine, a just and peaceful solution is to join the European Union and have strong security guarantees. NATO is the best choice for Ukraine, and Ukraine is striving for it. At present, he hopes to discuss alternative solutions. At the same time, the United States must participate in Ukraine’s security guarantees.
