On February 28th, Jinshi Data reported that the US and Russian delegations completed the first round of talks on bilateral relations in Istanbul, Turkey on the 27th. The delegations from both countries held a closed-door meeting at the US Consulate General in Istanbul for over 6 hours that day, and did not immediately release any statements to the media after the meeting. The delegations of both countries have left the negotiation venue. According to Turkish diplomatic sources who previously revealed to reporters, this meeting was a technical-level meeting.
