Russian crude oil flows remain near a four-month high

On March 18, before the meeting between Russian President Putin and US President Trump, Russian oil exports remain close to a four-month high. In the four weeks ending on March 16, the crude oil flow at all Russian ports remained almost unchanged at 3.37 million barrels per day, close to the highest level reached on November 10 last year. European leaders are concerned that in direct dialogue with Putin, President Trump may make too many concessions on behalf of Ukraine. According to sources, if negotiations progress, US presidential advisers are considering lifting or adjusting sanctions on Russia, including restrictions on oil export prices.
