SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce criticizes the approval process for the Spot Bitcoin ETF.
Gate.io News bot message, Bloomberg reported that SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce criticized the approval process for the Spot Bitcoin ETF in a Bloomberg interview.
As the Bitcoin ETF is approved, Peirce stated that the SEC “lacks strong reasoning for its change of mind” and called for market participants to be patient with the approval of cryptocurrency exchange-traded products (ETP).
Peirce mentioned in an interview that the SEC is dealing with multiple lawsuits and other matters. She also emphasized that SEC approval does not imply recognition of the investment value of the product, and investors need to make their own judgments.
