According to Mars Finance, the Belarusian authorities have established and are updating a dedicated registry for recording cryptocurrency wallets involved in criminal proceeds. This database is part of the comprehensive mechanism for the seizure of illegal digital funds introduced in anticipation of the upcoming FATF assessment. Chairman Vasily Gerasimov of the State Control Committee (SCC) pointed out at the Eurasian Group (EAG) plenary session that regulators are introducing new financial investigation mechanisms to quickly detect the flow of criminal funds. In addition, regulations concerning cryptocurrency transaction taxation and ensuring transparency in the digital asset sector have also been passed.
